AI agent testing vs AI visibility tools
Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI and Semrush track what AI answers say about you. We test what agents can do on your store.
The short answer
AI visibility tools such as Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI and Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit track how AI answers mention and cite your brand. Aiscovery tests the next step: whether an AI agent that reaches your store can find a product, its price, stock, delivery and returns. Visibility brings agents to your store; agent testing shows whether they can use it. Many stores will want both.
What each one is for

- AI agent testing for online storesAiscoveryAn automatic site check of your public pages, then named AI agents (OpenAI GPT-6 Luna and Google Gemini) trying key shopping tasks in a read-only browser. Literal checks decide each result, and you get step screenshots, a ranked fix list and retests. AI visibility tracking is coming later. How Aiscovery works
- AI search analyticsPeec AIDescribes itself as AI search analytics for marketing teams. It tracks visibility, position, sentiment and the sources AI answers cite, for prompts you choose, across engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, with competitor rankings and recommended actions. Its Agent Analytics reads your server logs to show which AI bots visit, and a crawlability check tests your robots.txt against more than 40 AI bots.Source: peec.ai
- AI search marketing platformProfoundPositions itself as a marketing platform for AI search. It covers answer engine visibility and citations across engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Agent Analytics reads server and CDN data to show which AI bots visit and diagnoses crawlability problems such as robots.txt blocks, pages bots can't render and missing llms.txt files, a Shopping view covers product visibility in ChatGPT Shopping, and marketing agents draft content.Source: tryprofound.com
- AI search monitoringOtterly.AIAn AI search monitoring and optimization platform. It tracks brand mentions, citations, sentiment and share of AI voice across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, with Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude as add-ons. A GEO Audit and crawlability check test whether AI crawlers can reach and read your pages, and on Standard plans and above, AI Agent Analytics classifies AI bot and agent requests through a server, edge or CDN integration.Source: otterly.ai
- AI visibility in an SEO suiteSemrush AI Visibility ToolkitShows how a brand appears in AI answers: an AI Visibility Score benchmarked against competitors, prompt research and tracking, and brand performance such as share of voice and sentiment. Semrush Site Audit also checks whether AI crawlers can reach your site, and AI bot visits show up in its Log File Analyzer and in Semrush Enterprise's Agent Analytics.Source: semrush.com

Not their focus means their site doesn't describe it, not that they can't do it.

How they relate
Where they overlap
- Crawler access is shared ground. All four check whether AI crawlers can reach your site, and our site check reads what robots.txt declares for each AI company's crawler, so on that part you'll see similar findings.
- Peec AI, Profound and Otterly.AI also show which AI bots visit your pages, from your server logs or CDN data, and Semrush does through its Log File Analyzer and Enterprise Agent Analytics. That tells you bots arrive and what they fetch. It doesn't show whether an agent could finish a shopping task once there, which is the part we test.
Where Aiscovery is different
- Visibility tools measure answers and crawler access: what an AI says about you, which sources it cites and whether its bots can fetch your pages. Aiscovery measures actions: a named AI agent (OpenAI GPT-6 Luna or Google Gemini) tries a shopping task on your public pages in a read-only browser, such as finding a product's price, stock or delivery, and literal checks decide whether it got the right answer.
- Every run keeps a step log and step screenshots. Each failure is attributed to a website, agent or platform cause and lands in a ranked fix list, and a retest with the same agent and task confirms the fix.
- Runs are read-only. Agents stop before login, cart, checkout and payment.
When to use both
- Use a visibility tool to learn whether AI answers recommend you and which sources they trust.
- Use Aiscovery to make sure that when an agent follows that recommendation to your store, it can read your product facts and finish the task.
- If visibility is high but agents fail on your pages, the fix is on your site, and our fix list ranks it.

Questions
Is Aiscovery an alternative to Peec AI, Profound or Otterly.AI?
Not today. Those tools track how AI answers mention and cite your brand. Aiscovery tests whether AI agents can complete shopping tasks on your store. AI visibility tracking is on our Coming later list, so for now the two sit side by side.
Peec AI, Profound and Otterly.AI show AI bot traffic. Isn't that the same?
Bot analytics show that AI bots and agents reached your pages and what they fetched. Agent testing shows what happens next: whether a named agent found the right price, stock or delivery facts, and if not, why and what to fix.
Which should a store start with?
If you don't know whether AI answers recommend you, start with visibility. If agents already reach you, or you sell products agents will be asked to compare and buy, test whether they can use your pages. The fixes we rank often help both.
Do you guarantee better AI visibility?
No. We don't promise rankings, mentions or citations. We show what agents can and can't do on your pages and rank the fixes, then confirm each fix with a retest.
See what AI agents do in your store.
A short call: we run key shopping tasks with named AI agents on your public pages and walk you through the fixes.
