Playwright and QA Wolf test your own release. We show what outside AI agents experience on your live store.

Playwright and QA Wolf test your own app: scripted or agent-written flows check that your product behaves as designed before each release. Aiscovery tests from the other side: named third-party AI agents, the kind shoppers use, try key shopping tasks on your live public store, and you see whether they succeeded and why not. One protects your release; the other shows what outside agents experience. Teams with a full test suite still learn something new from agent tests, because the agent, not your script, decides where to click.

## Products

### Aiscovery

AI agent testing for online stores.

An automatic site check of your public pages, then named AI agents (OpenAI GPT-6 Luna and Google Gemini) trying key shopping tasks in a read-only browser. Literal checks decide each result, and you get step screenshots, a ranked fix list and retests. AI visibility tracking is coming later.

### Playwright

Open-source browser automation.

An open-source framework for web testing and automation with one API across Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, a test runner with auto-waiting and retrying assertions, code generation and a trace viewer. Its test agents plan, generate and repair tests, and Playwright MCP lets AI agents drive a browser through accessibility snapshots.

### QA Wolf

Managed end-to-end testing.

Describes itself as an AI test factory: agents, infrastructure and a QA team that create, run and maintain end-to-end tests of your app, delivered as open-source Playwright and Appium code and run in parallel before release.

## Comparison table

What each product describes on its own site, read on October 21, 2026.

| | Aiscovery | Playwright | QA Wolf |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Who decides the path through the site | Yes: The AI agent, from a task goal | Yes: Your test code, or its test agents | Yes: Tests their agents and team write |
| Named third-party AI agents tested on your site | Yes: Available: GPT Work, Gemini Spark and Claude Cowork | Not their focus | Not their focus |
| Regression tests of your own app before release | Not our focus | Yes: Test runner, any browser engine | Yes: Selected per pull request, run in parallel |
| Logged-in, cart and checkout flows | Coming later: On a staging copy | Yes: Whatever you script | Yes: Flows in your app they cover |
| Test code to write and maintain | Yes: None: tasks are versioned by us | Partly: Yours, with codegen and healer help | Yes: Maintained for you on the managed tier |
| Ranked fixes for what blocks AI agents | Yes: Action center, confirmed by retest | Not their focus | Not their focus |

Where their site doesn't describe something, the table says Not their focus or Not listed, never that they lack it.

Our features that don't run yet say Coming later, the same label we use on every page.

## Where they overlap

- All three drive a real browser through multi-step flows and keep evidence of each step: Playwright's trace viewer, QA Wolf's reproduced failures, our step screenshots.
- Playwright MCP lets an AI agent drive a browser, so a team could build its own agent runs on top of it. Aiscovery does that work for stores: the tasks, the agents, the checks and the fix list.

## Where Aiscovery is different

- QA suites check that your intended path works, with your selectors and your test data. Aiscovery gives named AI agents (OpenAI GPT-6 Luna and Google Gemini today) a shopping goal and lets them choose their own path, then literal checks decide the result.
- Runs happen on your live public pages in a read-only browser that stops before login, cart, checkout and payment, so there is no test environment or code to maintain.
- Each failure is attributed to a website, agent or platform cause and ranked in a fix list, with a retest to confirm the fix. We don't test logged-in pages or your release pipeline.

## When to use both

- Keep Playwright or QA Wolf for regression coverage on every release, including logged-in and checkout flows in your test environments.
- Add Aiscovery to see how outside AI agents handle your public store, which your own scripts can't tell you, and to rank the fixes for them.

## Questions

**Q: We already have Playwright tests. Why add agent tests?**

A: Your tests follow the path you designed. An AI agent shopping for a customer doesn't know that path: it reads the page, picks controls and decides when it is done. Agent tests show where that goes wrong on your public store, and why.

**Q: Could we build this ourselves with Playwright MCP?**

A: You could build the browser part. You would also need versioned shopping tasks, literal checks for each answer, step evidence with masking, failure attribution across website, agent and platform causes, and a fix list with retests. That is what Aiscovery provides.

**Q: Is it safe to run agents on our live store?**

A: Runs are read-only. Agents read public pages, follow links and use site search and filters, and stop before login, cart, checkout, payment and any form that sends data. Step screenshots are masked.
